Have you ever dreamed of your own garden pool water? Rushing waterfalls, shimmering koi, ponds, and the crystal in your own backyard? Tempting, but judging by professional Web developers to install and glossy magazines, building one is time-consuming and expensive plan is best left to experts. This is true in some cases – but not all.
The complex of fountains, KOI ponds, large sizes, you can hire a professional level for this project. But even a large pond, of course, can be done by skilled Do-It-yourselfers. I personally know two engineers who built the most beautiful and complex garden pool water for themselves and their families. One of the engineers, my cousin. Unfortunately, he is my cousin by marriage, so I do not like to inherit his excellent genes equipment. Fortunately, I did not have to create your own little pond. I am living proof that, if I can do it, anyone can do it.
For the first pond, you can hire a company that you are one impressive. You can make Bang re-enactment itself with some force, willing helpers and skills. Or you can make a small and beautiful little pond itself. You do not have to spend a lot of money, or if you would rather not. Think instead of koi fish, small flexible liner, instead of large spaces poured concrete, or patio container garden, which you can build and fill in during the day. Features, as they say, are endless.
Several elements that most water garden pool should include:
1. Container or liner. Container independent status and can not be half whiskey barrel, porcelain tubs, planters – all that is waterproof and will not contaminate the water with chemicals. (You can line the container, if you are not sure of this.) More common method is to dig a hole and through its specific and strict pre-formed liners or flexible liners. Pre-formed liners, usually on a small side, but flexible liners come in small, medium and large sizes. What exactly lining, the size of your garden pool water depends entirely on you. (And the size of your property.)
2. The submersible pump / fountain pump combination. Most of the gardens of water must be some movement of water for clarity and for the health of plants and fish. Submersible pumps will be more or less expensive depending on the amount of water your expected him to move. You can also buy pumps for the waterfall systems, if you want to get fancy. This is a nice feature of course, but do not feel that you should put it away. You can always go slower and add new features as you go.
3. Filter. You can choose from a mechanical or biological filters. They do not have to be expensive. As with the pump, they retain the clarity of water and health. Note that in a small pond you do not need both. My little pond (4 ’start to finish, 2′ deep) is not only fine with a small and efficient pump / fountain. Note: add the fish, if you can – they make for some of the best natural filters anywhere.
4. Electric source. You need electricity for pumps and mechanical filters. If your water garden pool in a container on the patio, you can do outdoors extension. (Watch for small children and dogs, though.) If you work in electricity in your garden, you want to use 120-volt outlet with outdoor circuit breaker ground fault near the pond. Do not worry, any handyman worth his or her salt will be able to do it for you.
