Claims UK Garden Keep on Growing

According to Sainsbury’s Bank, the average claim paid in a UK garden theft home insurance in January 2007 to January 2008 was £ 291.30. Although more than one third of the stolen items, 34 percent, were valued at less than 50 pounds, more than one tenth of the stolen items had values ranging from £ 401 – £ 1,000 and three percent had a value even more than that.

Garden theft is on the rise and the value of the items we have in our gardens is also in place – expected to spend a staggering £ 3.6billion in the outfield this year. Therefore, it has become vital for owners to play particular attention to the UK garden cover aspects of their policies.

Make sure all items such as expensive potted plants, lawn mowers and garden tools are included in the terms of your policy. Check the value of the coverage you have in place and also make sure it is enough to cover all elements of your UK garden.
